We currently provide glass services to the entire Martha’s Vineyard, including Edgartown, Vineyard Haven, West Tisbury, Chappaquiddick, Chilmark , Menemsha and Aquinnah.
Both framed and frameless shower doors are typically made of tempered glass, which may be treated for easy cleaning. Framed doors are made of thinner glass because the frame supports the door. The frame itself is usually made of aluminum and may be powder-coated in a variety of colors and finishes. The frame may be smooth or textured, and the glass is sealed into the frame to prevent leaks.
On the other hand Framless shower door are made without frames and typically the glass is 3/8” and 1/2” thick. Clips and hinges are used to hold the glass in place.
Tempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass.
